FLORIN ABRAHAM (b. 1975) is Associate Professor in Political Science at the Faculty of Communication of the National University of Political Science and Public Administration in Bucharest and a senior researcher within the National Institute for the Study of Totalitarianism. He also served as Member of the Board of the National Council for the Study of the Securitate Archives (CNSAS) in Bucharest (2012–2018). In 2016, he received the Academic Merit diploma, the highest scientific distinction awarded by the Romanian Academy. Florin Abraham has been Romania`s representative in the Steering Committee of the European Network Remembrance and Solidarity since 2014. He is an author of four books, most recently Romania since the Second World War: A Political, Social and Economic History (Bloomsbury Academic, 2017).
